Since last 8 months, a lot of assumptions are doing the rounds with respect to GST implications, surgical strike, demonetization and other policies lay down by the government. But now let’s just pause over and not overthink about it. Yes! Cheer up the Navratri festive discounts are back with a bang. Here’s the report card:
If you are planning to buy a car or a two wheeler
It is believed that this Navratri season will be different from the earlier year because auto makers are doing their best to revive the Indian economy. The car makers like Maruti Suzuki are offering Rs 30,000-35,000 festive discounts on its different variants. Even new schemes are being launched by them to get the revenue in track.
“We are offering this Magic Box contest for the customers and compared to last year we have also increased the cash discounts by at least Rs 5,000. This year we are hoping the customers will be back after a little slowdown in retail sales after GST and inventory for vehicles like Alto and WagonR is quite high. So there will be no supply issues,” said a Maruti dealer in southern Kolkata.
Other car makers have also launched attractive schemes to lure the customers. Hyundai is offering a discount of Rs 50,000-60,000 for Grand i10.
Even the two wheeler manufacturer is offering a high-end discount for upcoming Navratri and Diwali season. Honda Motor Cycles is planning to offer discounts of 5500 through its retail outlets. Even they are proposing new schemes that won’t attract any processing fees from the customers.
Optimistic Future for Auto companies
Sale of auto companies have already scaled up in July – August post GST implementation. There might be a small hit due to increase in cess but companies are trying their best to compensate with attractive festive discounts. These deals will definitely trigger purchasing power among the buyers.
