Below is the Indian Tax Calendar which you should check before you start the month of July.
06th July 2016:
Due date to deposit service tax collected in the month of June 2016 and excise duty for the previous month. Delay in remittance may result in interest liability.
07th July 2016:
Due date to deposit the income tax deducted/collected while making payments in the month of June 2016. Default or non compliance will result in liability of simple interest of one and one-half percent for every month or part of a month on the amount of such tax from the date on which such tax was deducted to the date on which such tax is actually paid.
10th July 2016:
Due date to file Monthly Central Excise returns.
15th July 2016:
Last date for remittance of Provident fund contribution deducted from employees salary as well as employer contribution. Delay in remittance results in interest liability as well as penalty.
21st July 2016:
Last date for remittance of Employees state insurance contribution deducted from employees salary as well as employer contribution. Delay in remittance results in Interest liability as well as penalty.
30th July 2016:
Quarterly TDS Certificate to be issued for payments made other than salary in the previous quarter for which return has been filed on 15th July 2016.
31st July 2016:
File income tax return for the financial year 2015-16 for individuals. Non filling of return might result in interest penalty.
Quarterly TDS return (in respect of income tax deducted in previous quarter) by a any person for the quarter ending June 30, 2016
